Lieutenant Colonel Vladmir Pica

Head of Operations Section, Albanian Support Command

Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Pica commenced his military career in the Albanian Armed Forces in 2003, where he has since held various assignments within the Support Command. His early specialization in Explosive Ordnance Disposal laid a robust foundation for his subsequent roles. Over a span of 15 years, he served as a platoon leader and EOD Staff Officer, demonstrating exceptional leadership and technical expertise in high-stakes environments.

In recognition of his extensive experience and capabilities, Lieutenant Colonel Pica was appointed to key leadership positions, including Chief of Operations and Chief of Staff of the
Engineer Battalion. In these roles, he has contributed in overseeing critical engineer and EOD operations, ensuring mission success through planning and execution.

Currently, Lieutenant Colonel Pica serves as the Head of Operations Section within the Albanian Support Command. In this capacity, he is responsible for directing ongoing engineer and logistic operations that are vital to national and international commitments.

Lieutenant Colonel Pica’s operational experience extends beyond national borders; he ha participated in numerous EOD missions throughout Albania. Notably, he has contributed to two European Union deployments under EUFOR Operation ALTHEA in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as three deployments with the European Union Training Mission (EUTM) in Mali.
