Major General (Ret’d) Peter Fuller

Former Deputy Commanding General, US ERDC
Peter has over 30 years of experience leading Department of Defense operational and acquisition management organizations as well as over 10 years of business experience advising clients in the Defense industry. Peter’s expertise includes M&A industry due diligence, strategy development and implementation, the complete acquisition life-cycle capability management processes from R&D to disposal, and a deep understanding of DoD capability priorities and market opportunity capture.   EXPERIENCE Before joining Cypress, Peter served at all levels of Department of Defense acquisition management organizations and was previously a Program Executive Officer (PEO) as well as the Deputy Commander for the NATO Training Mission in Afghanistan. As an U.S. Army PEO, he was responsible for budgeting, development, production, and fielding of components and systems to support the warfighter. As the Deputy Commander for the NATO Training Mission in Afghanistan, he was responsible for the budgeting and fielding of all capabilities needed to build the Afghan National Security Forces. As the previous President and COO of Cypress, Peter has led and conducted many strategic engagements with senior leaders in a wide range of companies operating across the U.S. and International defense industrial base. He has also advised clients on Department of Defense opportunities to include market entry and penetration, positioning for contract recompetes, growth strategies, as well as budgeting and program activities details. Now leading the Cypress International M&A and Strategy team, Peter has led and conducted several growth strategies, M&A due diligence assessments, and organizational efforts to align with shifting government priorities. EDUCATION & TRAINING Peter’s training and education includes Department of Defense Acquisition Life Cycle Level III Certifications, and Executive Level Acquisition and Program Management training, as well as a MS in Resourcing of the National Security Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, a MMAS in Logistics Management from the US Army Command and General Staff College, a MPA in Personnel Management from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in History and Political Science from the University of Vermont. Peter also completed a DOD 12-month Fellowship assignment with the Loral Vought Systems (now Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control) of Grand Prairie TX.
