Michael Navarro
Michael Navarro is a Director of Business Development for the Adaptive Communications and Sensing (AC&S) Product Line that reports to the C4ISR Systems business area within the Electronic Systems (ES) sector of BAE Systems. He leads a Business Development team focused on bringing advanced C4ISR capabilities to the warfighter with a focus on US Army and International customers. The AC&S Business develops products for airborne tactical communications that span RF (VHF/UHF/HF) and Tactical Data Links with revenues of $400M. AC&S Systems has over 3,000 employees spread across more than a dozen sites. Major facilities are located in Wayne, New Jersey; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Huntsville, Alabama; and Austin, Texas.
Prior to joining BAE Systems, Michael was a Program Manager for the Stinger Missile System for Raytheon Missiles Systems. Before that, he served in the US Army for 30 years as a commissioned Officer. He earned his commission in 1988 from the ROTC Program at Florida State University. His initial active duty assignment was in the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. He later served with the 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Washington, in the Army’s Initial Stryker Brigade Combat Team and deployed to Iraq in 2003-2004. In 2005, he transitioned to the US Army Acquisition Corps, serving tours in the Army Test & Evaluation Command (ATEC), the Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM), the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and PEO Missiles and Space. He concluded his military career as the Military Deputy for the Air and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC). Michael holds a bachelors degree in Political Science and International Affairs from Florida State University. He holds a masters degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University in Orange, California. Michael was born in Chicago, Illinois, and currently lives in Huntsville, Alabama.
