Colonel James Rhodes
Commissioned into the Royal Logistic Corps in 1997, Regimental Duty included Troop Command within a Brigade Support Squadron, Second in Command of a Transport Squadron, Squadron Command of a Fuel Squadron and Command of 29 Movements and Postal and Courier Regiment RLC.
At Staff, Col Rhodes has served within Director of The Royal Logistic Corps as SO2 Equipment (Distribution), SO2 CSS Commitments within Army HQ, SO1 Logistic Capability Development Head of Capability CSS, Army Headquarters, SO1 Personnel Plans HQ Field Army, Chief Logistic Support, Head Log Army within Army HQ, DACOS Logistic Operations HQ Fd Army.
Operationally, he has deployed to Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and twice to Afghanistan. He was also involved in planning for military support to the London Olympic Games, provision of Military mitigation to the fuel drivers strike and deployed twice in support of the NHS during the COVID pandemic.
He lives in Sandhurst, is married to Claire a school teacher and has one daughter who is studying to become a physiotherapist. His passions include skiing, orienteering, mountain marathons and triathlon.
