The Ukrainian General Staff has released a video purporting to show the attack on the Dzhankoi military airfield in Russian-occupied Crimea on April 17th. Four S-400 surface-to-air missile systems, three radar stations, air-defence equipment, and airspace surveillance equipment were either destroyed or critically damaged. This is according to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

The footage of the attack posted on the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence social media accounts showed several munitions being launched into the sky which followed a series of massive explosions at the base.

Russia's S-400 is a mobile, surface-to-air missile system with a capability of targeting aircrafts as well as cruise and ballistic missiles. It is reported that the S-400 is considered to be a Russian equivalent of the US-made Patriot battery. Previously, Russia claimed that the S-400 played a key role in denying Ukrainian aircrafts of accessing the frontline.
