Microflown AVISA (www.microflown-avisa.com) will present the latest findings on its Mobile Sound Ranging Array (MSRA), using:

• both vehicle-mounted and static CASTLE sensor posts
• an advanced ad hoc network of MANET radios
• advanced target acquisition algorithms making use of 3 D shockwave signals

The capability:

• provides persistent passive wide area ground based surveillance
• localizes indirect firing positions with the speed of the round, rather than the speed of the sound
• alerts and cues other kind of target acquisition sensors and/or effectors
• provides close proximity situational awareness for the vehicles hosting the sensor posts
• has a very favorable cost of ownership
